You tried Screen Time. This one holds.

A strict app blocker for iPhone. Blocks come back on schedule, unlocks have to be earned, and the price is on the page before you start.

For iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

Four things it does differently

Built for the moment you reach for your phone without deciding to.

Blocks that hold

Blocking is built on Apple's own Screen Time frameworks and re-applied automatically at every schedule boundary. Dismiss it once and it's back at the next one. Hard to bypass in the moment, which is when it counts.

  • 9:00 AM block on
  • 12:30 PM block on
  • 6:00 PM block on

Honest pricing

Shown upfront, before you start. The yearly plan comes with a 7-day free trial and costs less than half the price of the leading blocker's yearly plan.

$39.99 a year, or $7.99 a month

Earn your scroll

Blocked apps open only after you earn it. Each unlock gives you a 15-minute window, counts against a daily budget, and then the block comes back.

  • A mindful pause
  • A short walk
  • A quick intention

Screen Time Reveal

A short quiz during setup shows how many years of your life you'd spend on your phone at your current pace: daily hours, times the years you have left, divided by 24. Then it makes a card you can share.

At 5 hours a day, you'd spend

11.5 years

of the next 55 on your phone.

5 hours × 55 years ÷ 24 = 11.5 years

  • Strict modeStops you deleting the app while a session is running.
  • StreaksSee how many days in a row you've kept to your plan.
  • Today's real Screen TimeShown inside the app by Apple's private Screen Time report, on your iPhone only. The app itself still can't read the numbers.
  • Salah mode (optional)Off by default. Blocks a list you choose for 15 to 60 minutes from each adhan, with times worked out on your iPhone from one of 22 cities. No location permission.

How earning an unlock works

A blocked app is never one tap away. You get it back by doing something small and deliberate first.

  1. Open a blocked app

Instead of the feed, you see the shield screen and how long the block lasts.

  2. Choose how to earn it

Take a mindful pause, go for a short walk, or write down why you're opening it.

  3. Get 15 minutes

The app opens for one 15-minute window. Each unlock uses part of your daily budget.

  4. The block comes back

When the window ends, the shield returns on its own. No reminder needed.

Mindful pause

A short, quiet moment to notice the urge before you act on it.

Short walk

Your steps are counted on your iPhone with Motion & Fitness. Nothing leaves the device.

Quick intention

Your phone habits stay on your phone

  • No accounts
  • No servers
  • No analytics
  • No ads
  • No tracking

The apps you choose to block are stored as private Apple tokens that even the app can't read as names. Quiz answers, schedules and streaks never leave your iPhone, and Erase all data in Settings deletes them in one go. Read the privacy policy.

Questions

Can I bypass it?

Yes, if you're determined. iOS always lets you turn off an app's Screen Time access in the Settings app, and no app can prevent that. That's Apple's rule, and it's a fair one.

What Undaze does is make the easy escapes harder. Blocks re-apply at every schedule boundary, strict mode stops you deleting the app during a session, and unlocking costs a pause, a walk or an intention. It's built to be hard to bypass in the moment, when the urge is strongest.

How is this different from Apple Screen Time?

It uses the same Apple frameworks underneath, but the rules are stricter. Blocks come back automatically at each schedule boundary, an unlock has to be earned, each one lasts 15 minutes, and you have a daily budget of them.

Can the app see what I do on my phone?

No. The apps, categories and websites you pick are handed over as private Apple tokens, so the app can block them without being able to read their names. It also can't read your screen-time numbers: the Screen Time you see inside the app is drawn by Apple's private Screen Time report on your iPhone, and the app never gets the figures.

How much does it cost?

$7.99 a month, or $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial. Both plans include everything. You can cancel anytime in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.

What happens if I turn off Screen Time access?

Your blocks stop working until you turn access back on. Your block lists, schedules and streaks stay on your iPhone. The support page explains how to turn it back on.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
